The 2014 FIFA World Cup also known as Copa do Mundo da FIFA – Brasil 2014 is scheduled to take place in Brazil from 12 June to 13 July 2014. It will be the 20th FIFA World Cup which is an international football tournament.
This is the second time that FIFA World Cup is being held in Brazil after previously being held here way back in 1950.

The 64 matches of FIFA 2014 Football World Cup will take place in 12 host cities namely – Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Cuiabá, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Manaus, Natal, Porto Alegre, Recife and Olinda (a stadium would be shared by both cities), Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and São Paulo.
The opening match of FIFA 2014 World Cup will take place at the Arena Corinthians in São Paulo on 12 June 2014 at 17:00 hrs local time.
The final match of the FIFA 2014 World Cup will take place at the Estádio do Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro on 13 July 2014 at 16:00 local time.
Termed as the most expensive world cup ever, the cost to stage this one is estimated around $11 billion.
